One person suffered minor injuries in a house fire on Wednesday evening.
Three Airdrie fire crews, assisted by one from Rocky View, were called to Stonegate Crescent N.W. at around 5 p.m.
The house was fully engulfed when crews arrived and significant damage was sustained by the home and several neighbouring properties.
Airdrie Fire Chief Mike Pirie confirmed the injury one adult sustained was not serious while their dog was reported safe.
"The cause of the fire is under investigation and there is extensive damage to the original home and some water and smoke damage to the neighbouring homes," Pirie said.
The scene has since been cleared, but people are urged to use caution if they are in the area.
