BOWDEN – A motor vehicle collision affected southbound traffic on Highway 2 south of Bowden Friday afternoon as fog continued into the evening.
At 4:26 p.m. the province’s travel advisory service told travellers to “expect lane closure and delays” in the area.
The fog advisory for Mountain View County and nearby urban centres issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada on Friday morning remained at the time.
“Low visibility in fog will continue this evening. Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations,” the 2:09 p.m. updated weather alert said.
Red Deer County, including urban centres near it like Bowden are not included in the fog advisory.
The travel advisory service gave an update at 4:55 p.m. saying the collision was cleared.
