CREMONA - The Cremona Coyotes will host the Lethbridge Lightning at the Delburne Arena on Feb. 21 in the third game of the teams’ five-game playoff series in the Ranchland Hockey League.
The Coyotes are down 2-0 in the series, making the upcoming game on Friday a must-win for the Cremona squad.
Game 1 was played in Lethbridge on Feb. 14 at the Taber Arena.
The Coyotes got goals from Stefan Lachapelle (assist Jess Sababos), Lachapelle (assist Andrew Berbmann) in a 7-2 loss.
Coyotes netminder Adam Russo stopped 45 of 52 shots he faced.
The Coyotes managed 29 shots in the game.
The Lightning travelled to Cremona for Game 2 on Sunday, Feb. 16.
The Coyotes got goals from Jade Galbraith (assists Cody Pollock), Tyson Scott (assist Ryan Chambers), Lachapelle (assists Braden Plaschewsky and Lukas Pollack) and Lachapelle again (assist Scott) in a 5-4 overtime loss.
Netminder Russo stopped 31 of 36 shots he faced.
The Coyotes and Lightning face off in Game 3 in Delburne on Friday, Feb. 21 with the Coyotes being the home team.
If needed, Game 4 will be played on Feb. 22 at the Nicolas Sheran Arena in Lethbridge.
