She's only 15 years old, yet Olds resident Kallie Clouston has already made a decision on where she'll take her post-secondary education. She has committed to playing for the University of Alberta's (U of A) Pandas hockey team.

BOWDEN - There was lots of action during this year’s Bowden Bonanza Daze. The four-day event kicked off with a barrel racing jackpot on July 25, followed by a team roping jackpot and a kickoff party on July 26.

Local throwing athlete Haylin Eling is pretty happy with her performance during the Tri Province Championships. Eling won a gold medal in the hammer throw after tossing a personal best (PB) of 45.

The Olds Bantam Stingers lost all four games they played during Provincials in Calgary July 10-14.

A Bowden bareback rider was nudged out of competing for the big bucks at this year’s Calgary Stampede. During the Wild Card Saturday Qualification on July 13, Ky Marshall earned 87 points, as did fellow competitors Colin Adams and Mason Clement.

Olds resident Graysen Cameron is confident he has a good shot at making his old junior hockey team, the Humboldt Broncos, this year.
