Huskies blanked by Cyclones
The Olds Huskies peewee football team was blanked by the Innisfail Cyclones 24-0 on Saturday at Normie Kwong Park. Despite giving it a good effort, the local club was unable to muster much against a tight Cyclones defence.

Cross Country team places third at championships
The season has ended for cross country teams at the middle school and high school level. Coach Dean Woroniuk, for the grade 8 and 9 group, said he season went well. 鈥淭he numbers have increased. For grade 8 and 9, we had 24 athletes.

The Innisfail Jr./Sr. High School senior girls volleyball team placed first in their pool over the weekend in Ponoka. The team beat all five teams, which included Bonnyville, Leduc, Rimbey, Drayton Valley and Caroline.

Cyclones shut out Olds to end season with perfect record
The Mighty Cyclones played their last regular season game on Saturday against the Old Huskies and shut them out 24-0. The team finish the season with a perfect 6-0 record capturing the title of No. 1 ranked team in Central Alberta.
